Fourscore Law Saves Time, Money, and Builds Trust with FAQ Video Project

Fourscore Business Law started to notice a theme in their initial meetings with new clients. They found that they spent a good bit of time fielding the same basic questions before they could dig into the higher-level legal issues they were hired to tackle. And that got to be pretty expensive for their clients. 

So as a firm that works to design simple, efficient, and accessible solutions for the people and businesses they represent, it made perfect sense to create an FAQ video series.

With this video project, we aimed to help them answer their audience’s most common and pressing questions – and help them discover the best way to make videos work for their team and business. The videos are short and simple, but they accomplish a lot:

They are sent to clients before the first meeting to free up the agenda for questions that are specific to each client’s situation, which saves time and money for all involved. 

Questions about standard attorney/client processes were previously answered in long emails, but with video the attorneys got to streamline that routine and spend less time in their inbox.   

The videos made this foundational content easier to digest and reference and they introduced the different members of the Fourscore team, so clients feel ready and confident walking into that first meeting. 

Additionally, because this was Fourscore’s first professional video project, FAQ videos were an ideal way to try out the processes of video production and a new video partner. The script almost writes itself and it's a fast and very straightforward shoot day.

But as a result, Fourscore got a better idea of how professional video can fit into their workflow and a set of valuable evergreen video assets that improve their day-to-day business processes. 

And they have an easy way to build trust with their clients, establishing themselves as a helpful, approachable team that always makes their clients’ best interests their top priority–even when it comes to FAQs.

  • We kept the production and aesthetic simple in order to showcase the educational content: a white backdrop, 2-camera setup with teleprompter, low-key underscoring, and framing designed to leave room for explanatory typography animation.

  • The intro animation we developed from their logo has ongoing applications beyond these FAQ videos. Fourscore re-uses it to brand and unify all the video content they produce themselves.

  • We always work to make shoot days both productive and enjoyable. This was the first time on camera for most of the Fourscore team, so we worked with a teleprompter and helped them line by line until they felt they had a good take. As Fourscore founder Jesse puts it, “They are really easy to work with and go a long way to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. It can be awkward the first few times you try it!”
